What's your day like?

As an Expert Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams in essential tasks, including requirements engineering and solutions development across various federal agencies like DIE, NGA, NSG, and ASG. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate GEOINT delivery through activities such as scheduling, reliability analysis, systems integration, and evaluation. You will support government clients by automating and enhancing existing systems, capturing mission requirements, and providing guidance on technology-driven solution designs. Your leadership will extend to managing Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments, ensuring that the integration of innovative technologies aligns with customer and mission objectives. With a focus on strategic technical planning and performance engineering, you will oversee and mentor a talented team of Systems Engineers, contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions and advancing the capabilities of the Intelligence Community.

Proficiency in systems integration and architecture design is crucial, as you will be responsible for bridging the gap between user needs and technical capabilities. A deep understanding of engineering principles, risk management, and performance engineering will bolster your ability to lead analyses and drive informed decision-making.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Masters degree in Systems Engineering and 15+ or Bachelor's Degree and 18+ years of experience in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM expert level experience.
  • Demonstrated expert level working experience in government or industry in releveant work areas including: DOD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated experience of systems engineering lifecycle.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Doctorate in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM expert level experience.
  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Software Development Framework certification.
  • INCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer.
  • Membership or leadership in any of the following professional organizations:
    • ACSM
    • ASCE
    • ASPRS
    • OGC
    • SAREM
    • USGIF
  • Demonstrated work experience in:
    • Geospatial intelligence
    • Engineering soutions using Cloud-based technologies
    • Structured and unstructured Big Data, Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence technologies
