POSITIONSUMMARY: The
Superintendent 4 is responsible for fieldoperations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve safe, timely andprofitable completion of each project. This position must demonstrate strongleadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strongcommunication and client service skills.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - All responsibilities expected of theSuperintendent 3
- Implementation of Operation Zero and all Manhattan safety policies
- Participates and executes roles to help create anInjury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring of others
- Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field laborforce
- Review and approve Trade Contractor Pay Applicationsand material invoices with the Project Manager
- Develop and maintain a site logistics plan incoordination with the Project Manager
- Manage quality program
- Coordinate site testing and inspection reports
- Monitor costs, including labor time and material
- Manage self-perform features of work
- Manage the CPM schedule and look ahead schedules
- Development/coordinate/execute Safety, Hazcom, SWPPP,QA/QC plan, etc
- Attend and lead portions of, if not all of, projectmeetings, including but not limited to preconstruction, preinstallation,subcontractor, owner, and safety in coordination with the ProjectManager
- Create daily reports and report quantities
- Assist with the Preconstruction/Estimating phase of theproject
- Mobilizes the site and sets up utilities
- Assures necessary permits are secured, and inspectionsoccur
- Reviews and verifies RFIs
- Reviews and approves submittals for processing
- Responsible for conductingthemselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibitingattributes matching the Way We Work.

- Able to effectively lead teams through projects of highcomplexity
- Exhibits the ability to manage a team with 1-2Assistant/area superintendents
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's Degree- Construction Management, Engineering orequivalent. May substitute required education degree with relatedexperience on a one-to-one basis
- 12 years of industry experience
- Has led at least 3-5 projects or run multiple complex projects ofvarying size projects to be determined by regional operations
WORKINGCONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS: - You must be adaptable to all types of weather conditions and traverse and inspect all areas of a construction job site, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
- Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.
- Ability to repeat the same movements.
- Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.
- Ability to compose, send, and reply to emails and written correspondence.
- Must be able to lift, pull, or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Travel may be required occasionally, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver's License).
- Exposure to characteristic construction site hazards.
