We are looking for a Senior Director of Accounting to oversee our newly created Deals Desk within our Finance organization. As the Deals Desk Accounting leader, you will partner with numerous business units to lead all aspects of and scale the deals process for optimal deal velocity, assess risk, and structure deals for new and existing business models. What you’ll be doing: Oversee all Deals Desk operations; through a combination of automation and standardization, scale the deal flow process for optimal deal velocity Find opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in deal management Partner with Sales, Legal, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, FP&A and various Business Units to structure deals for new and existing business models Negotiate directly with customers or vendors regarding key financial terms as necessary Lead the risk assessment process for all deals, new customers, new vendors and ongoing risk assessment for existing customers and vendors. Ensure alignment with company policy and financial goals Lead a team of four Accounting deal reviewers – for both revenue and purchasing contracts. Review related accounting conclusions What we need to see: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from a leading university in Finance or Accounting Active CPA or equivalent qualification 15+ overall years with a combination of public accounting and related industry experience 6+ years of people leadership 8+ years with a technical accounting/contract volume focus Demonstration of continual management progression and leading of teams Executive presence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the Company Strong US GAAP technical accounting base Strong understanding of financial, legal and operational risks Familiarity working in a public company SOX-compliant environment Ability to work at the speed of light Ways to stand out from the crowd: Previous experience running a deals desk at a large tech company National Office tour in a Big 4 public accounting firm Experience collaborating across a large organization to influence and inspire change Energy and real passion for delivering results in a multifaceted growth company and fast-paced environment NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
