Wage Range: $90,000-$135,000 (really 110

General Description:
The Senior Engineer is responsible for designing precast structures and overseeing all aspects of projects to ensure successful and safe outcomes. This role involves providing mentorship and guidance to less senior engineers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Obtain and maintain Professional Engineering licensure.
• Provide effective coaching and mentorship for entry-level and junior engineers.
• Review calculations and drawings to ensure they meet necessary standards for approval.
• Ensure safe structures, working conditions, quality products, quality service, and satisfied customers by collaborating with all departments within the company.
• Interpret Architectural/Structural plans and perform required calculations to ensure structural integrity.
• Oversee a project design team, ensuring accountability for project milestones and successful delivery to both internal and external customers.
• Identify potential issues with project schedules and quality, proposing solutions with internal teams.
• Seek advice from peers to address unfamiliar designs and responsibilities, finding the best solutions.
• Collaborate with internal departments to develop optimal solutions.
• Coordinate with Contractors, Engineers, Architects, and Owners as needed.
• Provide engineering support to the sales staff for prospective jobs.
• Visit manufacturing facilities and construction sites as required for assigned projects.
• Address concerns and issues during any project phase and make timely, informed decisions based on needs and requirements.
• Prepare solutions for errors that occur on projects.

Education, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Professional Engineering Licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering or a comparable ABET-accredited degree.
• 8+ years of experience in precast design preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for interaction with co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as in one-on-one environments.
• Quick and efficient problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to project schedules.
• Self-motivation and drive to complete tasks.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other computer software programs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.
• Visual acuity for reading small print.
