OBJECTIVE: To develop the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to become a Sales Representative.

\n

Base location of responsibility is Charlottesville, VA and Surrounding Counties in western Virginia area.

\n

 

\n

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

\n
    \n
  • Develop rapport with assigned customer base and promote the good will of the company
  • \n
  • Cover assigned routes as needed due to sales staff time off, including vacations, personal days and sick days
  • \n
  • Remain flexible on a weekly basis regarding the assigned days of the week needed to cover routes, to potentially include weekends
  • \n
  • Execute the successful sale, distribution and placement of products
  • \n
  • Prepare and present professional sales presentations to customers by combining both the company’s priorities and customers’ needs
  • \n
  • Understand company pricing and product programming information on a monthly basis by maintaining accurate and up to date records
  • \n
  • Ensure that all product is rotated and code policy is followed
  • \n
  • Maintain high quality merchandising of accounts with paper POS
  • \n
  • Conduct promotions in accounts when required
  • \n
  • Organize and execute floor displays and placement of associated POS at all accounts
  • \n
  • Execute monthly goals as related to business activities
  • \n
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or marketing preferred
  • \n
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • \n
  • Valid and clean driver's license with active auto insurance
  • \n
  • Ability and willingness to work independently
  • \n
\n

CRITICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Use of hand and foot controls for driving
  • \n
  • Walking and climbing stairs
  • \n
  • Two handed lifting, handling and carrying of cases from floor to overhead levels on a frequent basis
  • \n
  • Two handed lifting, handling, carrying half barrels and quarter barrels from floor to 48" on an occasional basis
  • \n
  • Pushing and pulling a hand truck and/or cart on level and inclined surfaces on a frequent basis
  • \n
  • Sustained squatting, kneeling, and/or bending while handling products
  • \n
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate business equipment including, but not limited to, computer, telephone, adding machine
  • \n
