The Registered Nurse, RN- Trauma Performance Improvement at MelroseWakefield Hospital coordinates quality care for trauma patients through data collection, analysis, and performance improvement projects. This role requires a Massachusetts RN license, several years of trauma center experience, and certifications in BLS and ACLS. The nurse works under general supervision to enhance trauma care outcomes and ensure compliance with trauma designation requirements.

Summary:
The Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator monitors and evaluates the quality of clinical care for trauma patients. This includes data collection, analysis and reporting to identify trends and improve trauma care outcomes. In this role, the Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator will identify and execute performance improvement projects and quality opportunities across the organization and ensure compliance with our trauma designation requirements. This person works in conjunction with the Trauma Program Manager and the Trauma Medical Director. The role works independently with general supervision at an experienced level role that applies practical knowledge.

Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Massachusetts RN Licensure.
2. Three (3) Years of RN experience in a Trauma Center.
3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
4. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
5. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
6. Obtain Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) AND Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 12 months of hire.
7. Attend trauma program specific education as assigned – i.e. TOPIC.
