The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab is responsible for coordinating patient care activities for cardiology patients, utilizing a comprehensive nursing process from admission to discharge. This role requires significant clinical expertise, including assessment skills and knowledge of cardiovascular procedures. Candidates should have a current RN license, relevant experience in the Cath Lab, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Status/FTE: FT / 1.0 FTE
Shift length: 10 hours
Start Time: 0700
Unit: Heart & Vascular Cath Lab
Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Monday-Friday, on-call requirements
Unit Specific Additional Qualifications: Ability to work in fast-paced environment requiring strong clinical and assessment skills required.

Additional Information/Department information: The RN coordinates all patient care activities in the Heart Center Cath Lab. The nursing process is used in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of cardiology patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to Cardiology patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor and positive role model for assistive personnel. Knowledge of cardiovascular clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions and pharmacological agents is essential. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong cardiovascular clinical and assessment skills.
