Job Description
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking for a skilled mobile app developer with a strong understanding of the modern mobile app landscape to help us create the next generation of our mobile applications. You'll be working alongside a dynamic team of developers and designers to build user interfaces, implement new features, and optimize our apps for the best user experience.
- This position will be hired at the Developer III or Lead Developer level.
- * This position is eligible to work hybrid (9 or more days a month onsite) in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.

Compensation
$95,000 - 126,000 Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive salaries that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.
What you'll do Design and build sophisticated and highly scalable apps
Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Maintain code integrity and organization.
Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features in a fast-paced environment
What you need High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
Minimum of five years' experience of application development, with a thorough knowledge of at least one programming language, is required.
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in mobile app development.
Experience with SWIFT for iOS and/or Kotlin/Java for Android.
Experience with deploying to the Apple and/or Google stores.
Proficient with mobile development tools like Xcode and Android Studio.
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, Vue etc.
Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.
Experience with profiling and debugging mobile applications.
Experience with Native Script for cross-platform development.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development processes.
