Medical Billing Specialist Details and Compensation:

• Location: Monroeville, PA 15146 – Hybrid, must live within 1 hour of office | on-site 4x per month
• Payrate: $19.50/hr
• Required Availability: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Medical Billing Specialist Summary and Highlights:

The Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for qualifying, preparing, and submitting claims to copay card payers. This position requires close collaboration with LTC facility staff, pharmacy operations staff, prescriber offices, third-party payers, patients and/or their responsible parties, and claim processors.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Medical Billing Specialist Responsibilities:

• Submit and process claims accurately to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as healthcare staff, third-party payers, and claim processors.
• Work across various operating systems and web-based platforms to retrieve and validate necessary documentation.
• Ensure adherence to billing standards and compliance requirements.

Medical Billing Specialist Requirements :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Attendance mandatory for first 90 days
• 1+ year of healthcare reimbursement, medical insurance/billing, or related experience.
• 1+ year working with healthcare reimbursement systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Exceptional customer service and teamwork capabilities.
