Medical Administrative Assistant Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM
• Pay Rate: $36,000
• Location: Allentown, PA 18103
• Type: Temp to Hire

Medical Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

• Contracting patients to complete Medicaid applications and charity care process
• Verifying patient health insurance information
• Working with patients and/or family members, employers, banks and federal/state offices for additional information as needed
• Accurately document information into various systems
• Performing duties such as faxing, filing, emailing, and making phone calls to facilitate completion of applications
• Provide coverage at hospital facility on an as needed basis
• Other duties as assigned
• Assist patients in applying for medical assistance programs
• Counsel patients in navigating through medical bills, insurance benefits, and financial resources available.
• Working with patients, physicians, nursing staff, pharmaceutical and insurance companies
• Travel to other client facilities as needed
• Other duties as assigned.

Medical Administrative Assistant Requirements:

• Must have Covid Vaccine
• Minimum high school diploma or GED
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word and Excel
• Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
• Detail oriented, strong problem solving and research skills
• Must be able to do 6-8 weeks of organized training in Allentown office
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and car insurance
• Comfortability working in a hospital environment
