Job Description
**The marketing manager will report mainly to our Fort Lauderdale office, with some travel to each restaurant location as needed.**
Responsibilities:
- Lead weekly marketing calls; create agendas, assign tasks and deadlines & take detailed notes
- Manage all marketing materials and ensure database of images and collateral is organized and up to date
- Oversee content needs and direct photo shoots, developing shot lists, as needed
- Oversee the monthly management of social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.), ensuring consistent and engaging content *role will not include content capturing or posting and community management – this is strategic oversight only*
- Ensure all brand platforms (website, ordering sites, social media, google, yelp, etc.) have accurate information, updated photos, and consistent messaging
- Draft and distribute monthly newsletters highlighting priority items & current initiatives
- Support graphic designer with development of graphics, flyers and menu updates, as needed
- Support with influencer and media outreach for newsworthy moments or timely events i.e. new restaurant openings, participation in signature events, etc.
- Drafting press releases, pitches, coordination in all outreach efforts, etc.
- Share proactive ideas regarding promotions and menu updates to drive more sales
- Define and implement targeted campaigns that promote the brand, increase foot traffic, and engage the community.
- Develop and implement customer retention strategies, including loyalty programs and referral incentives.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform strategy.
- Monitor ROI on paid media campaigns and adjust spending to maximize reach and performance.
- Assist in organization and production of any events throughout the year in timely manner (e.g. Miami Open, F1, etc.)
- Liaise with operations team to schedule media/influencer dines and monitor for corresponding coverage
- Work closely with restaurant management teams to align marketing efforts with daily operations, new menu introductions, and customer experience goals.
- Track, analyze, and develop detailed reports on key performance metrics for all marketing activities, including website traffic, social media engagement, event performance, customer feedback, etc. (review sales patterns, identify trends, address key learnings)
- Monthly reports & In-depth quarterly reports
- Ensure that all content adheres to OMAKAI’s tone, voice, and brand guidelines (familiarization with brand book)
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Miami or Fort Lauderdale-based (and able to drive to all locations, as needed)
- Strong market analysis and comp reporting skills
- Presence in office (exact days/details open to discussion)
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 Years of experience in a marketing role, preferably within the food & beverage or hospitality industry
- Familiarity with graphic design and content creation
- Strong writing, communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail, proofreading and quality control
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
- Passion for the food & beverage industry (love for sushi is a bonus!)
