Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a skilled and passionate Criminal Defense Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of criminal defense and trial experience, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload from start to finish. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, providing clients with top-tier defense services and advocating for justice.

Location:

Duties:

Evaluate potential criminal defense cases and provide legal advice to clients
Review, modify, and draft motions, subpoenas, memorandums, sentencing, trial briefs, and other legal documents
Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system
Manage criminal defense case files from initiation through resolution
Supervise and delegate tasks to a team of legal assistants as needed

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
State Bar Association membership and a state license to practice law
Minimum of 3 years of criminal defense and/or trial experience in misdemeanor and felony criminal cases
Strong negotiation, drafting, research, and communication skills
Computer proficiency and familiarity with case management systems

Certifications:

Must be licensed to practice law in the state

Expertise in criminal defense law and courtroom procedures
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong organizational and case management abilities
Ability to handle a high-volume caseload with attention to detail
Leadership skills to manage legal assistants effectively
