Job Description Job Description Commercial Journeyman Electrician We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team, specializing in commercial new build/construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance in commercial environments. This role requires adherence to safety standards, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on commercial construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems and components, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems. Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly and effectively. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner. Adhere to safety protocols and participate in safety training and meetings. Qualifications: Journeyman Electrician License required (TDLR) Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial electrical work, specifically in new build/construction environments. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
