Salary Description: $74,880.00 - $100,000 / yr.

Qualifications Preferred Education / Experience Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Ceramic Engineering or related field from an accredited college; minimum three years related work experience
- Ceramic Engineer or similar role is preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Knowledge of ceramic materials, processes, and product development
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to work successfully with various teams/departments
- Strong communication/presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Solid statistical analysis ability including SPC
- Accuracy and organizational skills with great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion; must approach situations with unbiased
- and mature attitude
Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Design and develop the process for ferrite products
- Analyze test results and modify the production process accordingly
- Develop new production processes and equipment for ferrite products
- Design and perform experiments such as DOE's
- Develop process improvement tools per APQP, such as control plans, FMEA, process flow; make improvements and solve quality problems
- Analyze production costs and recommend ways to reduce costs
- Ensure that production is compliant with safety and environmental regulations
- Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes and products to ensure specifications are met
- Collaborate with production to develop and implement controls and improvements
- Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues
- Identify the root cause of technical issues and recommend fixes
- Select, with R&D, new or improved raw materials and production methods, and oversee production testing and trials
- Technical support to production
- Assist in the design and development of thin sheet ferrite products
- Assist in the design of a manufacturing process for ferrite green tape as well as the sintering process
- Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Follows all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.
