We are seeking a Quality Assurance/Control Assistant to join our team. We are willing to train the right person at our facility, in Wyckoff, NJ.

You will be responsible for inspecting processes, food products, and service quality before, during, and after food processing to ensure that end products and service quality align with Company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Quality managers by completing the following tasks:
• Learn proper QA procedures for every stage of the pre-production, production, and post-production process, including food safety and cleaning/disinfecting, which employees are responsible for which procedures, and service quality levels
• Learn proper QA procedures for retail stores, including which employees are responsible for which procedures
• Create a written QA checklist for each procedure in each area
• Monitor processes, procedures, and service levels performed by personnel, inspecting each item on the checklist
• Document and report deficiencies and errors for these processes, procedures, and/or service quality levels, creating written reports, as requested or needed
• Communicate results of inspections to appropriate company personnel
• Communicate effectively with all levels in the organization to solve problems
• Follow up with the appropriate company personnel when mistakes are found
• Train and retrain new and existing staff, as needed
• Suggest, create, and implement new quality control policies and procedures
• Any other related tasks as requested by owners and Quality managers of the Company

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English
• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree desirable
• Previous proven expertise in Quality Assurance/Control as QA/QC assistant, staff assistant, or relevant position is a plus
• Effective communicator; previous experience in training a plus
• Ability to follow instructions
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves position
• Leadership qualities
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to problem solve and think independently
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Flexible Schedule: 40-hour workweek
  • Must be able to work 1 morning shift (5 am - 2 pm) and 1 mid-shift (9 am - 6 pm)
  • The rest of the days are flexible
