Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembler to join our team for a long-term opportunity with the potential for direct hire. The Assembler will be responsible for assembling batteries for large vehicles, utilizing various tools and equipment to ensure precise and high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Transport and assemble batteries for large vehicles using pallet jacks.
• Utilize tools such as drills and torque wrenches to perform assembly tasks.
• Follow blueprints and work instructions to complete assignments.
• Prepare and assemble work by studying assembly instructions, manufacturing document specifications, and BOM.
• Use auxiliary equipment per work instructions.
• Prepare, process, clean, install, assemble, rework, verify, test, and inspect electrical and mechanical components, hardware, sub-assemblies, and assemblies on single or multiple product lines.
• Perform tasks using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to accurately measure parts and verify tolerances.
• Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and spot-face bolt holes in parts using drill presses and portable power drills.
• Resolve assembly problems to meet specifications and notify the supervisor to obtain additional resources when necessary.
• Use torque wrenches to adjust or install parts and equipment following established specifications and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to think outside the box.
• High level of attention to detail and work quality.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
• Advanced knowledge in the usage of hand tools, handheld power tools, fabricating equipment, and portable air tools.
• Ability to drill, ream, tap, and install heli-coils in various size holes.
• Ability to read and record detailed measurements and proficiency in using computer software such as Google Sheets or Excel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
