About Us: People Working Cooperatively is a non-profit construction company dedicated to providing essential home repairs, energy conservation, and accessibility modification services for low-income, elderly, and disabled homeowners. As our organization grows, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
• Collaborate with the finance team to support overall department goals and objectives
• Utilize Excel for financial data analysis and reporting
• Optional: Utilize SQL/database skills for advanced data management and reporting tasks

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• SQL/database knowledge is a plus

Work Schedule:

• Approximately 40 hours per week
• In-person at our corporate office in Cincinnati, OH
